Indication: Early stage of febrile diseases due to an External Wind-Heat Attack that enters the body through the nose and mouth and attacks the Lung.
Action: Dispels Wind-Heat, releases the Exterior, clears Toxic Heat.
Symptoms: Fever without chills or with slight chills, little or no sweating, mild aversion to cold and wind, headache, sore throat, cough, thirst. Upper respiratory tract infections, influenza, acute tonsillitis, laryngitis, acute bronchitis, epidemic parotitis, epidemic encephalitis, meningitis, measles, acute endometritis, acute suppurative infections.
Tongue & Pulse: Red tongue tip with a thin white or yellow coating. Superficial and rapid (FU-SHUO).
