Indication: A herbal formula developed for tinnitus and hearing loss. It is derived from Liu Wei Di Huang Wan.
Action: The Kidney is fundamental to all organs and to the generation of Yin and Yang. Kidney function is reflected in the ears. When the Kidney becomes weaker, tinnitus is often observed together with other symptoms. It may also occur with hearing loss. Tinnitus is usually experienced as a buzzing sound, low but persistent, day and night, and may worsen at night. If the Kidney Deficiency is on the Yin side, night sweating may also occur. This form of tinnitus is often seen in older people or people with excessive sexual activity.
Symptoms: Tinnitus, low back pain (weakness and pain), dizziness, night sweating and other signs of Kidney Yin and Yang Xu. Note: this herbal formula does not apply to tinnitus that occurs suddenly.
