Indication: Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, morning sickness and diarrhoea due to Deficiency and Stagnation of Spleen and Stomach Qi with accumulation of Dampness.
Action: Activates the Spleen, tonifies Qi, harmonises the Spleen and Stomach (Middle Burner), promotes circulation of Stomach Qi, dries Dampness, resolves Phlegm, stops vomiting, calms cough.
Symptoms: Epigastric and abdominal distension and pain, nausea, belching, vomiting, regurgitation, expectoration of phlegm or saliva, vomiting during pregnancy, morning sickness, feeling overfull after even a small amount of food, poor appetite, diarrhoea.
Fatigue, listlessness, pale and sallow complexion, excessive salivation, acid regurgitation, borborygmi, abdominal and epigastric fullness, preference for warmth and pressure, loose stools or watery diarrhoea with undigested food remnants in the stools.
Digestive disorders, dyspepsia, indigestion, chronic peptic oesophagitis, chronic gastritis, chronic enteritis, chronic duodenitis, enterocolitis, mucous colitis, chronic cholecystitis, sensitive intestines, gastro-oesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia, pylorospasm, gastrodynia, morning sickness, emesis gravidarum, gastric and intestinal ulcers, asthenia, debility.
